Sales Engineer

B-Line Medical is seeking a Sales Engineer this position is responsible for providing AV technical support for the domestic and international Sales Teams. This person is responsible for assisting with AV design questions, generating AV quotes and estimates, as well as joining calls and on-site meetings.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for technical assistance for the sales of SimCapture®, for simulation environments, and LiveCapture®, for clinical environments
  • Demonstrate functional and a high-level technical understanding of B-Line Medical’s product line, specifically related to the audiovisual aspects
  • Clearly articulate product technology and associated AV components to clinical and medical education stakeholders
  • Assist in training Sales Team on a quarterly basis on AV-related items
  • Develop a complete understanding of the product line and its technical aspects
  • Attend and assist with web-based and onsite presentations to audiences of varying sizes and professions
  • Coordinate with a variety of technical stakeholders onsite including AV integrators, client IT/IS teams, architects, electricians, and other trades to ensure that proper AV infrastructure is provided
  • Interface with customers to clarify proposals and design requirements
  • Demonstrate the ability to build relationships and professionally interact with Medical Education and Patient Safety Key Opinion Leaders
  • Construct technical bid responses as needed  and create AV Proposals in response to RFPs
  • Using company AV quotation system to create, submit, and modify quotes based on client needs
  • Exhibit at industry conferences and special events
  • Maintain accurate records of all supporting sales activities to include sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities through weekly reports and the use of a CRM tool
  • Receive all required vaccinations to gain access to client site (if required by client)
  • Work closely with B-Line Medical’s AV Engineers and Implementation Department

What we are looking for:

  • B.A./B.S. undergraduate degree (preferably in the technical field)
  • 3+ years of AV product/design experience
  • AV related certificates such as CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I
  • A minimum of 3 years in AV Design Engineering or Broadcast Engineering
  • Experience in Medical AV or Medical Technology is preferred
  • Experience using Salesforce is a plus
  • Experience using D-Tools is a plus
  • Enterprise Network experience is a plus (CompTIA Network+, A+ or equivalent experience)
  • Proven AV experience
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas
  • Willingness to travel a minimum of 30% and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Existing contacts within the Medical Education and Patient Safety industries is strongly preferred 
  • Easily adapts to changing priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
